Mehmet Altingoz, an environmental engineer by training, received his master’s degree in Water Resources Policy and Management at Oregon State University in 2017 (advisor: Aaron Wolf). Then between 2017 and 2022, he studied his doctoral degree in Water Science and Policy at the University of Delaware (advisor: Saleem H. Ali). Since 2022, he has been working for the Water Policy and Law Branch of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey. His research aims to utilize water management and security analytical frameworks alongside environmental engineering methodologies to assess transboundary water management among countries in conflict with one another in order to guide the development of policies aimed at cooperative and sustainable water management and regional water security.
